Bluegum has offered supported employment since it commenced operation in 1991 in the form of a community based workcrew, now named Bluegum Grounds Maintenance.
The crew is engaged in a variety of work including:
• grounds maintenance
• residential gardening
• process work
• fencing.
The workcrew is currently funded to assist 20 crew members.
The workcrew operates from 9.00am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Subject to vacancies, entry is based on the Bluegum entry criteria which are listed below:
(i) you are able to behave in a socially acceptable manner, which will not harm yourself or others
(ii) you must be motivated to work
(ii) you must be physically able to work
(iv) centrelink assessment (if applicable)
In addition, you will be required to follow the Bluegum rules, particularly those related to safety, as set out in the Workcrew Manual.
